Premiered at Hotdocs, the short film by Larry Young, is a brief but extraordinarily effective portrait of a woman’s profound devotion to her husband, whose rapid decline in health has few believing he can survive.

“Anyone who has tried to hold on to a dying relationship will empathize with what both Ana and Arthur experience, their attempts at civility, and their descent into guilt and anger. And while the age difference between them gives this break-up film a particular twist-the emotions of loss and grief are ageless.” Lynne Fernie, Hotdocs Canadian Spectrum Programmer

HP had created a multifunction inkjet printer designed to compete against the laser MFP. Many of HP’s claims were simply marketing hype, but Ricoh wanted to make sure their own sales teams knew the facts. Thus was born MFP Busters. Sadly, HP’s product was pulled not long after production for the website was nearing its end, so the site never actually went live as it was intended, but I guess we can safely say, “that myth was busted.”

Designed and shot with Jeff Perky (Art Director @ Windup Design) we had a lot of fun with this project. Strapping a video camera to a golf cart we took the day to “walk” the park and shoot the panaromics. The client kept saying how people just needed to experience the venue to imagine all the possibilities, we figured we let them do just that. Check out more of Perky’s work at Perky Bros.

// Em&M: The Missadventures logotype, contact card
An adventure is an exciting, typically hazardous experience or activity. A shooting in Africa outside our window, mugged in Barcelona while heeled in 3 inch black stilettos, a case of Delhi belly on an overnight train in India-it seemed fitting to call my world travels with Emele something of a misadventure to say the least and so began themissadventures.com.

It was 1997, when the TV movie, Bad to the Bone, starring Kristy Swanson aired. The logline reads, “A deadly heiress uses her trusting brother as a pawn in her scheme to rid herself of a problematic lover.” There is a lot of drama to this real-life tale of murder and deception, but the true story goes so much deeper. The documentary film, The House of Suh, traces the stories of Andrew and Catherine Suh, Korean American Siblings, piecing together the series of family tragedies that led to the downfall of its two children.
